Renske Bron

Hi! I’m Renske Bron, a fourth-year student in Medical Sciences and Technology, and this year I’m taking on a board role at Oma’s Soep as the internal volunteer coordinator. I also play hockey at Don Quishoot. I support DAS because I believe that the student experience should be about more than just academic performance. Through my board year at Oma’s Soep, where we work to reduce loneliness among the elderly, I develop essential skills like organization, communication, and teamwork. These qualities contribute greatly to my personal growth and are valuable alongside my studies. However, this kind of volunteer work requires flexibility from TU/e. DAS advocates for providing students with the space and recognition to make a difference beyond their studies, so that we, as students, don’t have to choose between academic success and meaningful initiatives.
